It is called “Setting the Stage” because you will be building the foundation and tools necessary to do the work in the following sections (and in your life).
(20 Videos)
This section is divided into two subsections: “Thoughts” and “Emotions”
In the “Thoughts” section you will learn:
• Hands on ways to help keep your thoughts accurate to the situation
• Helping you to minimize unnecessary stress
• Avoid unnecessary emotional reactions in your life
In the “Emotions” section you learn:
• How to decode the messages conveyed by your emotions
• Translate them into actionable plans to aid in achieving your life goals
(18 Videos)
This is the BIG one and is last because here you will use all that you have learned in the prior lessons. This section is also divided into two parts:
• The first teaches you how to manage your own behavior
• The second helps you be effective in your relationships with others.
By the time you have finished all three sections, the course objectives are that you will be able to make decisions about how you want to act in your life, in your work, and in your relationships.
We want you to have the tools you need to make your thoughts match your circumstances, be able to understand your emotional wisdom, be able to influence your behavior and build strong relationships.
Hi, I’m Emily Krushefski, the creator of the “Take Charge of Your Life” course. I am a licensed therapist with over 25 years of experience and over 40,000 hours of clinical work along the way. I have extensive experience in DBT, CBT, & EMDR modalities that have helped countless people overcome stress, anxiety, depression, and many other issues that have prohibited them from living the life they want.
In my years as a therapist, regardless of the presenting problem, I found that the core 80% of what people needed was the same. Basic skills that everyone should have access to learning without having to pay the premium of one-on-one therapy.
My solution to this? It is my goal to help as many people as I can grow their mental health tool box so they can reclaim a sense of self, worth, and purpose. That is why I created Take Charge of Your Life. To help as many people as possible in an affordable way.
